Tickets On Sale Now for Wine and Dine
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The 19th Annual Wine & Dine in the Pines will take place on Sunday, August 16 at the Hart Prairie Lodge at Arizona Snowbowl. The event, which is sponsored by Arizona State Credit Union, will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with over 150 wines courtesy of Southern Wine & Spirits, 22 of the finest restaurants in northern Arizona and craft beers courtesy of Northland Beverage. Tickets are on sale now for $85 through July 31st with 100 percent of the proceeds going to benefit Northern Arizona University student-athlete scholarships. The price of tickets will go up to $95 starting August 1, so purchase your tickets now.

NAU's Hoover Selected to Academic All-America First Team
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Already an All-American in both cross country and track & field for his efforts in competition, senior Caleb Hoover was selected to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-America First Team on Thursday. Hoover becomes the second Lumberjack student-athlete to earn First Team Academic All-American honors for the 2014-15 season joining NAU football’s Austin Hasquet.

NAU Men Ranked No. 14 Division I Program of the Year
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men's cross country and track & field programs have continued to excel on the national scene as they were ranked No. 14 on the USTFCCCA Division I Men's Program of the Year final standings, following the 2014-15 campaign. Oregon men took home the top honor, followed by Arkansas and Texas.

NAU Athletics Announces 2015 Hall of Fame Class
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona University and Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Lisa Campos is proud to announce the 2015 NAU Athletics Hall of Fame Class who will be honored at this year’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will take place on Friday, Sept. 11. The former 'Jacks will also be honored at the Hall of Fame Game on Sept. 12 versus New Mexico Highlands. Comprising this year’s class is the head coach that led NAU to its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth Ben Howland, nine-time All-American cross country and track & field athlete David McNeill and football’s all-time receiving yards leader Clarence Moore.

Summer 2015 Coaches Caravan Dates Announced
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona University Athletics Department will be rolling through the state of Arizona during its annual NAU Coaches Caravan tour and hopes that Lumberjack Nation will come out in full force when it hits your city. The caravan will make its first stop in San Diego on Monday, June 29 before making several stops in the Grand Canyon State.

NAU Student-Athletes Give Back in Record Numbers During 2014-15 Year
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Last year, Northern Arizona University student-athletes performed an incredible 4,378 total community service hours setting a new department record. During the 2014-15 academic year, Lumberjack student-athletes outdid themselves resetting the record with over 5,000 hours out in the Flagstaff community and the greater Northern Arizona region in an outstanding department-wide effort to give back.

Hoover Voted to Capital One Academic All-District 8 First Team
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona cross country and track & field senior Caleb Hoover was recently voted to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-District 8 First Team, voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The All-District honor, Hoover's first of his career, was just the latest academic honor he earned during the recently completed 2014-15 academic year.

NAU Men Win Second Consecutive Big Sky All-Sports Trophy
OGDEN, Utah – Northern Arizona men have captured their second consecutive Big Sky All-Sports Trophy, the conference office announced Tuesday. The Lumberjacks went into the outdoor track championship with the lead, and maintained it after a tie for first place capturing their fourth straight outdoor title.

NAU Athletics Celebrates 42 Student-Athlete Graduates This Weekend
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – In total, 42 Northern Arizona University student-athletes will receive their degrees from the university this weekend during the Spring 2015 commencement ceremonies held on campus yesterday and today. Including the 21 student-athletes who participated in the Fall 2014 commencement ceremonies, the NAU Athletics Department produced a total of 63 graduates for the 2014-15 academic year.

Hoover, Vang, Buzzard & Hasquet Honored as Golden Eagle Top Scholar-Athletes
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – On Wednesday, NAU’s brightest student-athletes were honored at the 37th annual Golden Eagle Awards held at the High Country Conference Center. The annual luncheon recognizes Northern Arizona University’s student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average in the classroom. Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc., honored 191 Lumberjack student-athletes for their scholastic and athletic accomplishments.

'Jacks, Northern Arizona Community Come Together for Student-Athlete for a Day
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The NAU Athletics Department, spearheaded by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), held its Student-Athlete for a Day on Tuesday for over 200 children throughout the northern Arizona region. The important Student-Athlete for a Day returned for the first time in three years and was a fun-filled day for both the Lumberjack student-athletes and the local youth.

Caleb Hoover Named to USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic Team
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Senior Caleb Hoover has been named to the 2014 USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic team. Hoover is a senior majoring in exercise science with plans to attend medical school following his graduation this spring. He holds a 3.97 GPA.

This year's inductees included All-American football player Dan Finn, national champion and Olympian Lopez Lomong, Big Sky Soccer Player of the Year and three-time all-conference honoree Cee Cee Odorfer and the Big Sky Tournament Champion 1999-2000 men's basketball team.

NAU Athletics Posts 85 Percent Graduation Success Rate
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Northern Arizona Athletics Department posted a school-best 85 percent Graduation Success Rate, as released by the NCAA national office Tuesday. It was the highest of the three state universities, and tied for the best in the Big Sky Conference.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Senior Matt McElroy and the Northern Arizona men's cross country team had a strong first showing at the Lumberjack-hosted George Kyte Classic at Buffalo Park. McElroy walked away with first place in the men's 4.5-mile with a time of 22:20.80 and the team finished in first.

NAU Student-Athletes Welcome Incoming Lumberjack Freshmen
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Nearly 200 Northern Arizona student-athletes helped greet the incoming NAU Class of 2018 over the last two days in partnership with Welcome Back Jacks. The student-athletes along with a number of student groups at times battled the rainy Flagstaff weather and volunteered to assist the new freshmen and their families move into their new home for the upcoming school year.
