TUCSON, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona University women's and No. 2 men's cross country teams will compete at the Dave Murray Invitational on Friday.

The men will run 4.25 miles (just short of 7,000 meters) and the women will run 3 miles (just short of 5,000 meters). The men will run first and the gun will go off at 5 p.m. MST while the women will begin their race at 5:45 p.m. MST.
NAU will compete against Arizona State, University of Arizona and Grand Canyon University in the Division I section. While Estrella Mountain Community College, Mesa Community College, Paradise Valley, Pima Community College and Western New Mexico compete in the open section.
"I'm looking forward to having a few runners run at lower elevation for the first time this year. Although we are not competing everyone at this race, it will give us a chance to set our final roster for the Cowboy Jamboree." said Head Coach Eric Heins.
The meet will be a great opportunity for the Lumberjack women to compete against University of Arizona's No. 5 ranked women's team for the second time this season.
