Lumberjacks Slip in Latest USTFCCCA Rankings
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The
Northern Arizona men’s cross country team dropped nine spots
to No. 13 in the Pre-NCAA edition of the U. S. Track & Field
and Cross Country Coaches Association poll. The Lumberjacks
finished fourth in last weekend’s NCAA Mountain Region
Championships behind regional winner BYU (5), Colorado (6)
and host New Mexico (12).
The regional rankings came out Tuesday afternoon as well. The
men’s squad is ranked fourth in the region, and the
women’s team is at No. 7.
The Lumberjacks close out there season Monday, Nov. 23 in Terre
Haute, Ind., at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. The
men’s squad received an at-large bid Sunday evening, and
senior All-American Veronica Pohl earned a spot in the
women’s championship race.
The Versus Network will televise Monday’s championship races
with the men taking the course at 10:00 a.m. MST, and the women at
10:58. Versus is available on Dish Network channel 151 and channel
142 on NPG Cable Flagstaff.
