Track’s McNeill Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona senior David McNeill was named to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District men's track & field/cross country team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the second consecutive year. He will now be on the national ballot with a chance to earn Academic All-America status, an honor he garnered in 2009.

McNeill Finishes Runner Up; Lumberjacks Claim Fourth Place
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – All-American junior David McNeill didn’t disappoint in his quest for a top-five finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Monday afternoon. The Australian native captured second-place in the men’s 10,000m race in a time of 29:07, and was trailed by fellow junior Jordan Chipangma who placed fifth to lead the Northern Arizona men’s cross country team to its second fourth place-finish in two years.

Volleyball’s Dallmann Adds to Triple-Double Total, Lumberjacks Defeated by Northern Colorado in Season Finale
GREELEY, Colo. – Kelli Dallmann recorded her third triple-double of the season during Northern Arizona volleyball’s 3-1 loss to Northern Colorado on Saturday at the Butler-Hancock Center in the Lumberjacks’ final match of the year. NAU fell by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 20-25 and 25-16 finishing the year 8-17 overall and 5-11 in the Big Sky Conference.

Lumberjacks to Compete at Cross Country Championships Monday
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The No. 13 Northern Arizona men’s cross country team takes off tomorrow morning for Terre Haute, Ind., in hopes of capturing it’s first national title at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Monday. After receiving an at-large bid earlier this week, the men’s team will send seven runners to compete in the 10,000m championship race.

Men’s Team Receives At-Large Bid to NCAA Championships
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Sunday evening, the No. 4 Northern Arizona men’s cross country team learned that they would be headed to Terre Haute, Ind., once again to compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championships. GREELEY, Colo. –The Northern Arizona cross country teams, dealing with frigid temperatures and a muddy course, were able to take home the Big Sky Championship for the third-consecutive year. GREELEY, Colo. – Due to inclement weather making travel hazardous for several teams, the 2009 Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championship hosted by the University of Northern Colorado has been postponed one hour.The men’s championship race will now begin at 10:00 a.m. MST, with the women’s event beginning at 11:00. Cross Country Teams Turn in Solid Efforts at Pre-Nationals
TERRA HAUTE, Ind. – Saturday morning on the campus of Indiana State, the Northern Arizona cross country teams took part in the Pre-Nationals Invitational. In the first race of the morning, the second-ranked men’s squad finished third overall (115) in the “blue” race behind No. 7 Oregon (79) and No. 3 Alabama (114). The No. 27 women’s team took to the course nearly two hours after the men and finished 14th overall.

Freriks Already Making Impact in Young Career
