Volleyball Unbeaten for Second Straight Weekend

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Northern Arizona volleyball continued its impressive spring season with another undefeated weekend.  The women posted wins over Texas Tech, New Mexico State, New Mexico Highlands, and tied New Mexico.

The Lumberjacks played two three-set matches winning the clinching third set against Texas Tech and New Mexico State.

"We are a smarter and more experienced team than last fall," said head coach Craig Choate.  "It took some time for things to come together but the team is playing really well at the moment.  It comes with finding that comfort with your teammates."

The women came back and beat New Mexico Highlands in two-sets then split with New Mexico finishing the weekend with a 3-0-1 record.

DID YOU KNOW…Northern Arizona senior guard Cameron Jones was selected one of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. He was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Sky first team and earned NABC All-District honors, the first player in school history to accomplish the distinction. He broke several school records during his senior season including the career scoring mark.
