FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Northern Arizona University women's tennis program made history this year garnering the Big Sky regular season conference title. The Lumberjacks went undefeated in the regular season and are now ranked 9th in the final ITA Division I Mountain Regional rankings.

This women's team was notably the team-to-beat in Big Sky tennis this year with outstanding performances from all seven Lumberjacks.

"It is amazing to see the women's hard work paying off," Director of Tennis Ki Kroll said. "The tennis program is moving in the right direction and I'm so proud of the team and everything they have accomplished."

Nationally ranked doubles pair Blanka Szavay and Chiara Tomasetti also garnered a regionally ranked No. 2 finish in doubles behind University of Denver's Julia O'Loughlin and Maureen Slattery.

The Lumberjack duo finished the season 15-4 overall and 9-1 in conference, including a 6-3 win over No. 44 nationally ranked ASU pair Alexandra Osborne and Nicole Fossa-Huergo.

"Chiara was a great addition to the team this year and of course we are sad to see Blanka go," said Kroll. "The two were an incredible force on the court."
