Series History

This is the 23rd meeting between Northern Arizona and UTEP and the 26th meeting between New Mexico State and the Lumberjacks. This will be the first meeting ever between Lamar and NAU.

Coach Bruno Quote of the Week

"It is going to be a tough weekend in these three matches. These programs (UTEP, NMSU & Lamar) are at the same level as us and it will be important for all of us to play well. We had two great weeks of practice with last weekend off so I want our level of play to pick up from where we were two weeks ago."

Three Days, Three Matches

This will be the first time this season where the women's tennis team will play three matches in three straight days. The Lumberjacks are coming off playing two matches in one day against New Mexico and Western New Mexico where NAU came away with a 1-1 record defeating Western New Mexico 6-1.

Non-Conference Schedule

The Lumberjacks picked up their first non-conference win of the season against Western New Mexico, defeating the Mustangs 6-1. Northern Arizona is going into the weekend 1-3 against non-conference opponents.

Conference Play Right Around the Corner

After these three matches this weekend, five of their next eight matches will be against Big Sky opponents. The Lumberjacks went into the preseason rankings ahead of every team they will face in these next eight matches, except Montana.
