TUCSON, Ariz. – The NAU diving team posted impressive results in Saturday's 1-meter competition at the Wildcat Diving invite, with all-five NAU competitors finishing in the top-40 in the 16-team field. Junior Kristy Ardavanis again paced the Lumberjacks with an 11th place prelim score and placed third in the consolation final for the second-consecutive day.
Ardavanis recorded a 245.00 score in the preliminary round to advance to the consolation final, where she scored 260.20 to take third. The second-best NAU finisher was sophomore transfer Gwen Smithberg, who posted a 224.50 score to place 20th overall while freshman Kali Lents placed 27th with a 217.65 total. Senior Cassie Anderson scored 214.90 and freshman Katie Dallmann recorded a 195.60 score to place 39th.
The Lumberjacks will compete on the platform for the first time this season at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on the final day of the Wildcat Diving Invite.
