Swimming and Diving Set for 27th Annual Blue vs. Gold Meet
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern
Arizona swimming and diving will compete in the Blue vs. Gold
exhibition at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Wall Aquatic Center.
Friday’s meet will be the final preseason event prior to the
start of the 2009-10 season on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Las Cruces,
N.M.
The women will participate in the 27th annual Blue vs. Gold meet,
an intrasquad competition which splits the NAU roster into two
teams that compete in 12 events.
The Gold team will look to record its second consecutive win after
losing to the Blue team the previous two years. They took the first
three events last year and eight of 12 overall.
The Lumberjacks only other competition so far this fall was at the
14th Annual Pentathlon last month. Freshman Fiona Campbell took top
honors setting an unofficial pool record in the 100 backstroke.
