Harris Earns Eighth-Place Finish on 1-Meter at NCAA Zone Regional Championships

AUSTIN, Texas – Northern Arizona sophomore Taryn Harris advanced to the finals of the 1-meter at the NCAA Zone E Regional Diving Championships and then placed eighth, missing a spot in the NCAA Championships by only four or five places.

Harris scored 243.80 to stand in ninth after the prelims and then scored 250.55 in the finals for a total score of 494.35. She had placed 12th on the 3-meter a day earlier.

Sophomores Lana Christensen and Megan Collier placed 32nd and 38th in the prelims of the 1-meter with scores of 196.35 and 177.60, respectively. On the 3-meter, Christensen placed 17th and Collier was 27th.
