Five NAU Soccer Players Earn All-Conference Nods

OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference office announced today, Nov. 1, the All-Conference Teams for women's soccer. A total of five Lumberjacks made the final ballot, with junior forward Adrian Nixt being named to the First Team. Redshirt freshman Carly Gamble, true freshman Amanda Bennett, redshirt junior Missy Kettelkamp and senior Lindsay Doyle all received Honorable Mention nods.

"This season we've talked a lot about how we do as a team and less about individual awards and accolades," Head Coach Andre Luciano said. "It's a nice honor for Adrian [Nixt] especially after scoring five game-winners this season, and for the others, very well-deserved recognition."

Nixt put together a stellar junior year as she finished the regular season with a team-high 19 points including eight goals and three assists. The Portland, Ore. native has five game-winning goals in 2016, which is good for a Top 20 mark in the country. Nixt's career goals (17) and points (43) totals are good for seventh and ninth, respectively, in program history. Her career eight game-winning goals is also good for fourth all-time in NAU history.

Doyle, in her final season for the Lumberjacks, is close behind Nixt with 11 points this season. She has four total goals in 2016 – one of them being a game-winner – along with three assists. The Laguna Niguel, Calif. native has appeared in all but one game this season at forward for Northern Arizona.

Bennett, Gamble and Kettelkamp each have played in all 19 games for the Lumberjacks, with Bennett being just one of two freshmen to do so. The three Lumberjacks have helped hold down the backline this season, playing vital defensive roles alongside junior goalkeeper Meghan Dickmann. The 'Jacks have notched five shutouts this season with a 1.66 goals allowed average.
