Soccer Places Three on NSCAA Scholar All-West Team

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona women's soccer team placed three student-athletes on the NSCAA Scholar All-West Region squad. The Lumberjacks garnered three of the 12 spots on the squad representing the 54-team region.

"Once again our student-athletes continue to exemplify that you can in fact have excellence in the classroom and on the field simultaneously," said Head Coach Andre Luciano. "Their commitment to their academics and athletics is also reflective of the support that our academic staff, professors and advisers provide them on a daily basis here at Northern Arizona University. To have 3 out of 12 players named to the first team in such a competitive region as the West is reflective of what we are trying to create here within our program."

The Lumberjacks are represented by Kristi Andreassen (Tempe, Ariz., 4.00, Exercise Science), Tori Howe (Mesa, Ariz., 3.37, Health Sciences) and Tori Rocke (Garden Grove, Calif. 3.61, Criminal Justice).

Andreassen named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division I Women All-Pacific Region Second Team.
