OAHU, Hawaii - Northern Arizona University's golf team has completed day two of play at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational. The team closed out the day tied for fifth, improving on spot from day one.
The Lumberjacks received very strong contributions from senior Kaitlen Parsons and sophomore Savana Bezdicek. Parsons currently sits as the overall leader of the tournament as she has been able to put together two strong rounds of golf. The lone senior scored a season-best 73 on day one and was able to ride that momentum into day two as she set a new season-best of 72.
Bezdicek was able to bounce back from a rough day one with a great performance on day two of play. The sophomore shot a season-best 73 on day two to help the Lumberjacks. NAU also received contributions from Brittany McKee (Tied for 32nd), Susana Meija (Tied for 34th), and Laura Jabczenski (Tied for 48th).
Round two of play was the strongest team score the Lumberjacks have posted all season as they scored a 301 as a team. NAU Golf will be looking to continue its improvement as they are slated to compete in the final day of play today. The team will tee-off at 11:30 A.M. mountain time.
