Forty-Five Student-Athletes Earn Spring Academic Honors
OGDEN, Utah – Northern Arizona had 29 student-athletes earn 2011 Spring All-Academic honors from the Big Sky, the conference announced Friday. Additionally, the NAU women’s swimming and diving team earned 16 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) All-Academic selections. Spring sports eligible for Big Sky academic honors are women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field.

The Northern Arizona women's golf team finished second at the Big Sky Conference Championships. The Lumberjacks’ three-round total of 891 was the fourth-best team score in tournament history and second lowest non-winning score. The total would have won 16 of the previous 18 tournaments.

Women’s Golfer Alexa Kim Advances at U.S. Pub Links; Loses in Match Play
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The fourth time was a charm for women’s golfer Alexa Kim who advanced out of stroke play at 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship held at the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame starting June 21. Kim posted rounds of five-over par 77 and two-under par 70 to tie for 32nd overall at five-over par 147.
