Golf Program Inks Washington Product Parsons
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Kaitlen
Parsons has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to attend Northern
Arizona University to play women’s golf in the fall of 2010,
Head Coach Brad Bedortha announced.
“We are very excited to have Kaitlen join the program,”
said Head Coach Brad Bedortha. “She has good golf ability and
really fit in well with the team. She understands what to do and
how to do it on the golf course.”
Parsons has finished in the top 10 at the WIAA State Championship
each of the last two seasons, placing fourth in 2008 and eighth in
2009. She is a three-time Greater Spokane League first-team
selection. She qualified for the “Big I” National
Tournament (Ardmore, Okla.) in 2009.
She tied for fourth at the 2009 Pacific Northwest Junior PGA
Championship, shooting a one-over 73 in the in the final round, and
finished sixth at the PNGA Public Links at Trysting Tree Golf
Course in Corvallis, Ore. She ranked 157th in her class by the
Junior Golf Scoreboard.
Parsons, who is from Greenacres, Wash., attends University High
School. She is also a three-year starter and letterwinner for the
soccer team.
