Basketball’s Patton Selected to All-Big Sky Conference Team
OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference has announced the Women's Basketball All-Conference team and individual award winners for the 2010-11 season. Northern Arizona's Amy Patton earned a second team selection in a vote decided by the league's nine head coaches.
Patton was named Freshman of the Year in the Big Sky Conference a season ago after leading the league in scoring and rebounding. This season, the Tempe native followed up with her second straight scoring title and an All-Big Sky second team selection.
As a sophomore, Patton eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone in the final game of the season scoring a season-high 29 points against Sacramento State. She finished the year with 1,016 points averaging 16.4 a game.
Patton totaled 11 games with 20 points or more which tied for first in the Big Sky and recorded four double doubles on the year, fourth best in the league.
For the season, Patton started 20 of 29 games, averaging 16.4 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 2.0 steals in 29.8 minutes per game.
