Incoming Women's Basketball Recruit Amy Patton Named Arizona Republic's Big Schools Player of the Year
PHOENIX, Ariz. - The honors
continue to pile up for incoming NAU women's basketball recruit Amy
Patton, who has now been named the Arizona Republic's Big Schools
Player of the Year after leading Tempe's McClintock High School to
its first-ever Class 4A Division I final.
Patton, who averaged 31 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and two
assists per game this past season, was also named first team
all-state and was written about in Sunday's edition of the
newspaper.

The honors come a year after Patton was named the 2007-08 Arizona
Gatorade Player of the Year. She also has her jersey hanging in the
Ring of Honor at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in
Knoxville, Tenn., and was a first team all-state, first team
All-Tribune and first team all-region selection as a junior after
averaging 24.6 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.
