Throwers Post Season Bests at Sun Angel Classic
TEMPE, Ariz. – Junior Pascal Tang threw a season-best 202 feet, five inches to finish third in the men's hammer collegiate/open division at the Sun Angel Classic Friday.
Tang advanced to the finals with a throw of 196 feet, seven inches before improving his second best for the second time in the competition with his fifth throw overall.
Senior Jacob Nicol was seventh overall with a mark of 191 feet, 11 inches, improving his season best.
Junior Nicole Elliott set a personal event in the women's hammer, throwing 167-10. She improved her season-best for the second consecutive week after posting a throw of 164 feet, six inches last weekend in New Mexico.
The Lumberjacks will next compete as a full squad April 14-16 as they head to California for the Mt. SAC Relays, Brian Clay Invitational and Beach Invitational.
