NAU to Host USA Track & Field Official Training Friday, Saturday
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – This Friday from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., the Northern Arizona track and field staff led by current sprints, jumps and hurdles coach Ed Jacoby will be hosting a USA Track and Field certification session for individuals interested in becoming meet officials. The sessions will be held at the NAU Du Bois center, located near the Rolle Activity Center on south campus, in the Southwest Room.
Although the Walkup Skydome will be closing this month due to renovations, the track and field program will still be hosting three indoor meets in February. Current USATF official, Dave Mills, will run the official training, and those who complete the two-day course will be certified to work any meets, including the three hosted by NAU.
Dinner will be provided Friday evening, with light breakfast fare Saturday morning. Those who complete the training will also receive a NAU official's shirt.
