Inaugural Lumberjack Preview Set For Thursday

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona track and field team will kick off their season this Thursday afternoon, when they host the Inaugural Lumberjack Preview in the Walkup Skydome. New Mexico will be making the trip from Albuquerque, N.M. to take part in the open meet that begins promptly at 3:30 p.m. MST.

This will be the first time members of the public will be able to see the track and field athletes in action as they prepare for the indoor season that officially begins on Jan. 16 when NAU hosts the Lumberjack Invitational.

The throwers, under the direction of assistant track and field coach Mohamad Saatara, have been working hard in the offseason to help NAU retain the Big Sky Indoor Championship. This will also be the first meet for NAU's assistant coach Wiley King to showcase his sprinters, jumpers and hurdlers.
