NAU Falls to No. 60 UC Irvine
IRVINE, Calif. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team ended their California road trip with a matchup against No. 60 in the country UC Irvine. The Lumberjacks were able to take only match to three-sets as UC Irvine defeated NAU 7-0 as Northern Arizona drops to 2-6 this year. This is the fifth ranked opponent NAU has played this season.

‘Jacks Fall to Loyola Marymount 5-2
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team began their California road trip in Los Angeles with a matchup against Loyola Marymount. The Lumberjacks picked up two wins in singles but it wasn’t enough as the Lions defeated NAU 5-2.

NAU Looks to Snap Two-Match Losing Skid in California
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s team is back on the road looking to snap a two-match losing skid when they travel to California with a matchup against Loyola Marymount and UC Irvine. This will be the seventh and eighth straight match on the road to start the 2015 season.

NAU Drops 4-3 Nail Biter to Air Force
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team concluded their two-match weekend at the University of New Mexico in a neutral site matchup against Air Force. In the final match against Air Force, the Lumberjacks dropped a third set tiebreaker as NAU fell to Air Force 4-3.

NAU’s Two-Match Winning Streak Snapped by New Mexico
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team saw its two-match winning streak snapped by No. 63 in the nation, New Mexico, 6-1 as NAU falls to the 63rd best team in the country. NAU falls to 2-3 on the season.

NAU Takes Two-Match Winning Streak to New Mexico
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – After going 2-0 last weekend against a nationally ranked opponent in Nevada, and a comeback win against New Mexico State, the Northern Arizona men’s tennis team is headed back to New Mexico for a matchup against the University of New Mexico and a neutral site match versus Air Force. It was a memorable week for the Lumberjacks last week defeating a nationally ranked opponent for just the second time in school history.

OGDEN, Utah – In just his second week into his first collegiate season, Northern Arizona men’s tennis freshman Felix Schumann has been named Big Sky Player of the Week.

NAU Completes the Comeback 4-3 Over New Mexico State
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team capped off their best weekend of the 2015 season in Las Cruces going up against New Mexico State. The Lumberjacks backs were against the wall being down 3-1 but NAU was able to come from behind to defeat the Aggies 4-3 ending the perfect 2-0 weekend. NAU is now 2-2 this season.

Monumental Win: NAU Defeats No. 70 Nevada 5-2
TUCSON, Ariz. – For the second time in school history, the Northern Arizona men’s tennis team defeated a nationally ranked opponent as the Lumberjacks took down No. 70 Nevada, 5-2 for NAU’s first win this season.

Men's Tennis: Back On the Road to Tucson & New Mexico
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team is back on the road for their second straight weekend to start out the season. On Friday, Feb. 13, the Lumberjacks will face Nevada in a neutral match in Tucson, then head to New Mexico for a Saturday matchup against New Mexico State in Las Cruces.

NAU Falls to No. 73 Utah State
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team closed out their first weekend of play this season in Tucson against Utah State. Kester Black won the Lumberjacks’ first match of the season but it wasn’t enough as NAU fell to the 73rd best team in the country 6-1 to drop to 0-2 this season.

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team opened their season on the road traveling down t Tucson, facing the University of Arizona. The Lumberjacks were swept by the Wildcats 7-0 dropping their season opener.

Lumberjacks Open the Season Against UofA
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The wait is finally over as the Northern Arizona men’s tennis team is back in action as they travel down to Tucson to face Arizona on Friday, Feb. 6 and then stay in Tucson for a neutral match on Saturday against Utah State at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center to open the Lumberjacks 2015 campaign.

OGDEN, Utah – The season is just a few weeks away for the Northern Arizona men’s tennis team, which means the Big Sky preseason polls have been released. After finishing third in the Big Sky last year, the Lumberjacks were picked to finish fifth in the Big Sky this season.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team wrapped up their fall schedule staying in-state at the Grand Canyon Invitational. This was the final tournament for the Lumberjacks this fall as they competed in five invitationals this year.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team is back in action this weekend as they head back to Las Vegas, Nev. for the UNLV Easley Fall Invitational. The Lumberjacks’ last tournament was two weeks ago in Las Vegas at the ITA Mountain Regional Championships.

NAU Athletics Posts 85 Percent Graduation Success Rate
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Northern Arizona Athletics Department posted a school-best 85 percent Graduation Success Rate, as released by the NCAA national office Tuesday. It was the highest of the three state universities, and tied for the best in the Big Sky Conference.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona University Athletics participated in the annual Red Ribbon Week throughout the community last week, from Oct. 20-24. A total of 134 student-athletes participated in Red Ribbon Week visiting local schools, speaking with Flagstaff’s youth and interacting with them in athletic activities.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team found some success in their previous fall tournament at the University of New Mexico Balloon Invitational and now the Lumberjacks will head to Las Vegas, Nev. for the ITA Mountain Regional Championships.

Men’s Tennis Impressive at UNM Balloon Invitational
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Northern Arizona men’s tennis team continues to impress early this year as freshman Felix Schumann became the first Lumberjack this fall to take first place in a singles draw as he went 4-0 in the Silver Draw at the University of New Mexico Balloon Invitational. Throughout the weekend, the Lumberjacks picked up 15 victories in singles play, while also winning five doubles matches.

NAU Student-Athletes Welcome Incoming Lumberjack Freshmen
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Nearly 200 Northern Arizona student-athletes helped greet the incoming NAU Class of 2018 over the last two days in partnership with Welcome Back Jacks. The student-athletes along with a number of student groups at times battled the rainy Flagstaff weather and volunteered to assist the new freshmen and their families move into their new home for the upcoming school year.
