Mens Tennis Ends Fall Season at Rebel Classic
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Northern Arizona lost a pair of
consolation singles matches and a doubles match to conclude play at
the Rebel Classic in Las Vegas. Saturday’s action was the
final day of competition for the Lumberjacks during the Fall
season.
In a Flight One singles consolation match, NAU junior David
Flodberg dropped a 7-5, 6-3 match to Pacific’s Fernando
Ristov. Freshman Hugo Ramadier won the second set in his
consolation match in Flight Two but fell in a 7-4, 4-6, 7-5
decision to Jordan Bridge of Cal Poly.
The Lumberjacks competed in one consolation doubles match on
Saturday, but Flodberg and freshman Patrick Schimmelbauer took an
8-5 loss against Dmitry Lebedev and Matt Walters of Arkansas.
Northern Arizona begins its spring season on January 21, hosting
Sacramento State for a Big Sky match at 1 p.m.
