FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team opened up practice this week, as it prepares for the 2016-17 season.

Led by Head Coach Jack Murphy, the Lumberjacks returns 10 letterwinners, including senior forwards Ako Kaluna and Jordyn Martin. Kaluna averaged 12.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season. Martin, the 2015 Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year, returns to the court after sitting out the majority of last season.

Twelve home games, featuring non-conference contests against San Diego, Cal State Bakersfield, and Arkansas-Little Rock, are part of a challenging schedule ahead for the Lumberjacks.

NAU officially opens the season on Friday, Nov. 11 on the road against Santa Clara in the Cable Car Classic.

Northern Arizona men's basketball season tickets are available by calling the season ticket office at 928-523-0639.
