FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona men's basketball team will travel to the Bahamas to participate in the sixth annual "Summer of Thunder" presented by the Bahamas Basketball Federation.
"This trip is a great opportunity to continue the growth that we saw in the program last year and to help acclimate our newcomers into the Lumberjack Way of Life," said head coach Jack Murphy. "The guys are excited to be together practicing and looking forward to the chance to play competitive games against two talented Bahamian teams."
"Summer of Thunder" runs from Aug. 2-25 and will take place at the Sir Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium in Nassau. The collegiate teams will get a chance to play against a variety of All-Star, National and Club teams.
The Lumberjacks will play games on Aug. 12 (vs. Commonwealth Giants) and Aug. 14 (vs. IBA Elite).
