FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Junior transfers Quinton Upshur and Aaseem Dixon were named to the College Sports Madness Big Sky All-Conference Teams, announced today by the website. It is the first CSM honor of both of their careers.
Upshur, a 6-foot-5 guard from Norfolk, Va., was named to the first team. He averaged 15.8 points, 2.4 three-pointers and 1.6 steals per game. Upshur is currently ranked seventh in the league in scoring. He's amongst the best in the Big Sky in several categories including, steals (4th), three-point field goal percentage (2nd), three-point field goals made (3rd) and blocked shots (9th). He scored in double figures in all but two conference games and tallied 20 or more points six times in league play, including a career-high 32 points versus Northern Colorado.
Aaseem Dixon, a six-foot point guard from Las Vegas, Nev., earned third team honors. He averaged 10.9 points per game and shot 34.5 percent from three-point range. Dixon dished out 66 assists and collected 33 steals in his first year with NAU. He has 16 double figure scoring games and notched a career-high 23 points against Montana.
