Come Out to NAU Basketball’s Morning Madness This Saturday

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona basketball fans can get their first look at the men's and women's teams this Saturday, Oct. 5 prior to the Phoenix Suns scrimmage. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. at the Walkup Skydome as both Lumberjack teams will participate in various skills challenges, including a three-point shootout and dunk contest, beginning at 10 a.m.  Admission is free to the public and breakfast is free to the first 200 NAU students. Fans who come out and support the Lumberjacks will get the best seats in the house for when the Suns take the court.

The Suns scrimmage will take place at 12 p.m. Admission is also free to the public and will conclude the team's week-long training camp on the NAU campus. The Suns' trip to NAU is the 21st time the City of Flagstaff has hosted the team's training camp the club's first trip to Flagstaff since 2004. The Suns first used Flagstaff as a training camp site in 1986, coincidentally the first training camp that new head coach Jeff Hornacek participated in as a Suns player.
