FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona men's basketball coach Jack Murphy invites Lumberjack fans to view the first practice for the 2012-13 season Friday night at the Rolle Activity Center. Murphy will conduct practice from 5-7 p.m.
"We are excited to be kicking off a new year," said Head Coach Jack Murphy. "It is a fun time for the fans to come out and get their first look at the 2012-13 Lumberjacks. We have some new faces and some returners they will get to know. We are excited to open the doors to the gym and get going."
Fans are welcome to view the first official practice and attend a gathering at Taverna Greek Grill (2420 South Woodlands Village Boulevard, Flagstaff, AZ 86001) for some food and drink specials following the workout. Athletic department staff will be on hand at Rolle to answer season ticket questions and take orders for the upcoming season.
Season and single-game prices have been significantly reduced with the new Family Pack providing opportunities for fans to bring their families to see the action for the 12 home games.
Season ticket packages start as low as $80.
The new Family Pack, which is a general admission season package including two adult and two youth tickets for each game, is just $199 – a price that equals $4 per person per game. Additional youth tickets may be added to the Family Pack for $60.
Reserved season tickets are $120 for adults ($10 per game average) with a reduced rate of $110 for NAU faculty and staff. Youth (12 and younger) reserved season tickets are $80 for the 12-game home schedule.
General admission tickets are $80 for the entire season for adults and $60 for youth.
Premium reserved season tickets are available for $120 with a membership in the Lumberjack Athletic Association (LAA) with reduced prices available for faculty and staff ($110) and youth ($80) tickets who are LAA members. NAU students will continue to receive free admission to games.
Individual game tickets are just $12 for reserved ($8 for youth and senior) and $6 for general admission ($6 for faculty and staff, youth and seniors). Single-game tickets will be available for sale at a later date.
The Sam Houston State game serves as the home opener on Dec. 1, starting a four-game home stretch during the month of December followed by a game on Dec. 5 against Loyola Marymount and the Big Sky Conference opening weekend against Montana State (Dec. 17) and Montana (Dec. 19).
Sacramento State and Southern Utah play in Flagstaff on Jan. 3 and Jan. 5, respectively. NAU will also host home Big Sky games on the weekend of Jan. 24-26 with games against Northern Colorado and North Dakota. Portland State visits the Skydome on Feb. 7, followed by Eastern Washington on Feb. 9.
Idaho State visits on Feb. 28, while defending Big Sky co-champion Weber State will close out the regular season home schedule for Senior Night on March 2.
