FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Men's basketball player James Douglas was named the Big Sky Freshman of the Year by the College Sports Madness website.
Douglas, who was a product of Orange Lutheran High School, scored in double figures in 12 of 15 Big Sky Conference games played. He led all Big Sky freshmen in scoring, steals and 3-pointers made per game and listed second among freshmen in 3-point field goal percentage. He led the team in scoring at 12.2 points per game, steals, three-pointers made and second in assists and minutes played at 30.1 per game.
Senior Durrell Norman was also recognized by College Sports Madness, earning a spot on the website's All-Big Sky fourth team. Norman ranked 22nd in the conference in scoring at 10.2 points per game and listed ninth in rebounding at 6.0 per game.
