FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team plays hosts Northern New Mexico in game two of a two-game home stand Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m. Fan's coming to the game are encouraged to bring two non-perishable food items in support of the Northern Arizona Food Bank and St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance.  Fans who bring a least two items to each game will receive complimentary admission.

"I thought in the last ball game we played really hard," said Head Coach Mike Adras. "It was very encouraging to not let the score dictate your enthusiasm and passion for playing. It was nice to see our guys play 40 minutes of basketball. Now we have to build on that."

The Lumberjacks rebounded from their 0-3 start with a 103-42 victory over Arizona Christian on Friday night. They enter the game with eight consecutive home wins at the Rolle Activity Center dating to last season. The Lumberjacks have also posted 33 straight regular season victories over Non-Division I competition.

"We know what the expectations are and we need to play up to those expectations," said Adras. "It was good to see several guys step up and play for us."

NAU is hosting Northern New Mexico for the second time in three seasons. Cameron Jones had 28 points and Nick Larson recorded his first career double-double at NAU defeated Northern New Mexico 113-68 at the Walkup Skydome on Dec. 30, 2009.

The Eagles enter the game winless in 11 contests this season. They have played two Big Sky Conference opponents, losing to Weber State 109-50 and Montana State 111-61.

Junior Stallon Saldivar scored a career-high 17 points against Arizona Christian and added eight points in the season opener against Louisiana. The two games rank among the top five scoring contests in his career. He is averaging 8.3 points per game thru the first four contests. Overall, five players had single-game career-high scoring nights against the Firestorm.

The game can be heard on the Lumberjack Radio Network on 105.1 FM The Big Talker and online via The Big Talker website and their mobile app. Fans outside of Flagstaff can catch all the action on Big Sky TV online.

NAU travels to Loyola Marymount on Saturday before hosting BYU in Prescott next Wednesday.
