FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Senior men's basketball player Cameron Jones was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I All-District 6 team, the NABC announced. Jones is the first player in school history to earn NABC All-District honors.
Jones was named the NABC All-District 6 second team, joining Olu Ashaolu of Louisiana Tech, Greg Smith of Fresno State, Dario Hunt of Nevada and La'Shard Anderson of Boise State.
Jones was one of three players chosen to the All-District 6 team. Northern Colorado's Devon Beitzel and Montana's Brian Qvale were both selected for the first team.
Jones averaged 20.1 points per game as a senior, breaking the school's single-season and career scoring marks. He was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Sky first-team and is a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 245 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Saturday, April 2, at 9:30 a.m. (EDT) at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston during the NABC Convention and NCAA® Final Four®.
Jones was also chosen to the Big Sky All-Tournament team following the championship game on Wednesday.
