"We had some really nice performances by a variety of guys," said Adras.

NAU never trailed in the contest, building a double digit lead in the first half  behind a strong shooting half while holding the Hornets to just 28 percent from the field. The Lumberjacks led by as many as 31 in the contest.

"It was really nice of this community to embrace us," said Adras. "There are so many people that need to be thanked that are behind the scenes. There was a nice crowd here tonight."

NAU shot 46 percent for the game while holding Alabama State to just 30 percent.
