FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team will play the first of 12 home games at the Rolle Activity Center Friday night, hosting Southwestern College at 7:30 p.m. following the NAU women's game against North Dakota State at 5 p.m. One ticket will be good for both games.
The game can be seen on Dish Network 9411 and Fox College Sports, while fans on the internet can see video at www.bigskytv.org or listen to the broadcast at www.bigtalkerradio.com. The game will tape-delayed in Arizona Friday night on Fox Sports Arizona at 10 p.m. The game can be heard on 105.1 FM The Big Talker in Flagstaff.
The Lumberjacks are coming off a 74-46 win over Alabama State Tuesday night at the Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. Senior guard Eric Platt led the Lumberjacks with 16 points.
NAU also hosted Southwestern in the season opener last season also. The Lumberjacks had five players in double figures led by Platt's 26 points in a 113-61. The 113 points were a school record for a season opener, surpassing the mark of 110 set against Adams State in 1984 and ranked as the 12th-best single-game total in school history.
This is the first of four non-conference game at home for the Lumberjacks. The game will be the fourth game in seven days for NAU, including a two-game road trip and in-state game on Tuesday in Prescott Valley. NAU plays the next three games on the road before returning to Flagstaff on Dec. 4.
Southwestern enters the game with a an 0-2 record after dropping contests at Point Loma University and San Diego Christian University last week.
