Cookus, Jahn, and Hawkins Make CFPA Watch Lists

CHARLESTON, South CarolinaCase Cookus, Casey Jahn, and Ryan Hawkins find themselves on the latest College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Watch Lists.

Cookus is up for CFPA Freshman Performer of the Year. He set a new FCS record for the most touchdown passes by a freshman with 33 this past weekend.  Cookus has completed 189 of 266 passes for 2,761 yards. He leads the FCS in completion percentage (71.1) and passing efficiency (196.33).

Jahn, a senior from Peoria, Ariz., was named to the All-Purpose watch list. The running back has ran past defenders for 1,019 yards, reaching the end zone seven times. Jahn is averaging 113.2 rushing yards per game. Add to his rushing numbers, 103 receiving yards, and Jahn has the ability to be everywhere on the field.

Hawkins, is up for Punter and Placekicker of the Year. He's connected on all 52 PATs, in addition to netting nine of 10 field goals for the third-best in the nation. Hawkins has booted the ball 46 times for an average of 46.0 yards per game to rank second in the FCS.   

The award winners will be announced January 13, 2016.
