OGDEN, Utah – Senior running back Casey Jahn has been named the ROOT SPORTS Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today. The honor is the first of Jahn's career.
Jahn and the Lumberjacks led from start to finish against No. 11 Montana State, coming away with a 49-41 victory at home on family weekend.
Jahn set a new career-high when he rushed for 175 yards on Saturday. He had seven carries and found the end zone twice for his first set of touchdowns this season. Jahn's first score came with 13 seconds left in the first half as he recorded a one-yard touchdown run. He scored again for the Lumberjacks to start the second half when he rushed six yards into the end zone. Jahn averaged 7.3 yards per carry and had a long of 45 yards in the win.
Jahn was also named the College Sports Madness Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, and the CSM National Offensive Player of the Week.
