PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Northern Arizona football team placed three players on The Sports Network FCS Preseason All-America Team, announced today by the organization. The Sports Network FCS Preseason All-America Team is 98 players deep and comes from 59 different schools and all 13 conferences.
Andy Wilder, a kicker from Scottsdale, Ariz., was selected to the first team. Wilder led the nation in punting in 2012 with an average of 46.3 yards per punt. He also tallied 25 punts of 50 or more yards during the season.
Running back Zach Bauman, a native of Chandler, Ariz., was named to the second team. Bauman ranks second in school history with 3,676 career rushing yards, and is only 119 yards shy from breaking the school record. He became the first Lumberjack to register three 1,000-plus yard rushing seasons, in addition to holding the school record for most carries with 733.
Safety Lucky Dozier, a native of Sacramento, Calif., was selected to the third team. An All-Big Sky first-team honoree from a year ago, Dozier ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 57 and tied for the Big Sky Conference lead with four interceptions.
