NAU’s Julian Placed on College Sports Journal All-Freshman Team

PHILEDALPHIA, PA. – Northern Arizona's football program continues to rack in postseason awards after reaching for the playoffs for the first time since 2003. Freshman right tackle, Jacob Julian, was named to the 2013 College Sports Journal All-Freshman Team for his exceptional play in his first season wearing the blue and gold.

The 6-4 redshirt freshman out of Prescott, Ariz. was a part of an offensive that help lead the way for running back Zach Bauman who rushed for 1,456 yards this season. Julian played in every game this season for the Lumberjacks and was able to be a steady force on the right side of the offensive line.

Julian is just one of eight freshmen to make the list from the Big Sky Conference and only the second player from the Big Sky Conference to make the first-team on offense. Julian and the offensive line were able to protect the quarterbacks this season to throw 14 touchdowns and pave the way for the Lumberjacks running backs to scoring 13 touchdowns this season.
