Four Lumberjacks Earn College Sports Madness FCS All-American Team Accolades

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The preseason accolades continue to roll in for the Northern Arizona football team, as four players were selected to the College Sports Madness Preseason FCS All-American Teams, announced today by the website.

Earning first-team defensive honors were senior safety Lucky Dozier and senior punter/kicker Andy Wilder.

Dozier, a native of Sacramento, Calif., picks up his fifth honor of the preseason after being selected as a first team safety. He led the Big Sky with four interceptions in 2012. He finished his junior year with 57 tackles and five pass breakups.

Wilder, a Scottsdale, Ariz. native was named to the first team. The honor is Wilder's ninth of the preseason. He led the nation in punting last season with an average of 46.3 yards per punt. He also tallied 25 punts of 50 or more yards during the season.

Senior running back Zach Bauman, from Chandler, Ariz., was named to the second team. The honor is Bauman's eighth of the preseason, as the Walter Payton Award candidate is 119 yards shy of breaking the NAU all-time rushing record.

Anders Battle, a native of Phoenix, Ariz., was selected as a third team cornerback. The senior has earned a quartet of preseason honors. He led the team with 64 tackles, in addition to one sack, one interception and six pass breakups last season.
