Athletics Department Donates Tickets to Oxford BGC

OXFORD, Miss. - The NAU athletics department donated 100 tickets from its allotment for the Ole Miss football game to the Oxford Boys and Girls Club, providing a unique opportunity for a group from the local club. Student-athletes Jeff Hines, Zac McNally and Curt Sweeney presented the tickets to Kristy Grice from the Oxford BGC prior to the game.

“This opportunity has made an impact on the lives of our young members and their family’s as they experienced the excitement of a football game as a family,” said Grice. “Attending the Family Day football game would have been an experience that many of our families would have been deprived of, if it was not for your thoughtfulness. It is because of this that I sincerely appreciate the opportunity that you, along with the players and staff provided us. I think I speak for the group when I thank you for this generous opportunity you have graciously provided.

NAU lost the game to Ole Miss 38-14 on Nov. 7 but gained a new group of fans in Mississippi.
