Men’s Basketball Opens with Victory over Southwestern
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona had five players in double figures led by Eric Platt’s 26 points as the Lumberjacks opened the season with a 113-61 victory over Southwestern College at the Rolle Activity Center. He wanted to play football again despite being seven years removed from his last competitive down in high school. FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona football team played despite snow last April during spring practice so a little smoke was no problem on Monday. The Lumberjacks practiced on the outside practice fields for over two hours with smoke from the Taylor fire hovering over the field.

Cardinal Traffic Plan for August 8 Red-White Scrimmage
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Traffic proceeding northbound on Interstate 17 should exit the interstate at exit # 341 (McConnell Exit), which is just past the Interstate 40 interchange. Make a right turn at the stop sign and proceed to Pine Knoll (first intersection). Make a right turn onto Pine Knoll, then in to the large parking lot on the right for shuttle service to the football field. Buses will be leaving every 5-10 minutes from the lot.
