Cheer and Dance to Hold Tryouts April 22-23
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. The Northern Arizona University cheer and dance programs will be holding open tryouts for both squads on April 22-23 in the Rolle Activity Center on south campus.
Both programs are currently experiencing much success as the dance team finished 12th in the nation for Division I Jazz at the UDA College Nations last month.
Requirements for tryouts include a commitment of 15-plus hours of week for practice, strength and conditioning, and promotional events. Additional time will be required for NAU Athletic events such as football, women's volleyball, and both the men's and women's basketball.
Before registering for a tryout slot, each participant must be enrolled as a full time NAU student for the upcoming school year and carry 15 credit hours per semester. In addition, a 2.0 cumulative grade point average must be maintained each semester.
Registration is required prior to the tryout date. To register, download the tryout packet link and submit the information to Coach Laughlin no later than 5:00 pm, Monday, April 4, 2011.
