FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The 18th Annual Wine & Dine in the Pines will take place Sunday, August 17 at the Hart Prairie Lodge at Arizona Snowbowl. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with over 150 wines courtesy of Southern Wine & Spirits, 21 of the finest restaurants in Northern Arizona and craft beers courtesy of Northland Beverage. Tickets to this event are only $85 with 100 percent of the proceeds going to benefit Northern Arizona University student-athlete scholarships.
The 2014 Wine and Dine in the Pines will feature live music and entertainment by Kieran Smiley. The craft brews onsite will be Blue Moon, Summer Shandy, Coors Light and Crispin Cider. The list of restaurants featured will be 1899, Arizona Snowbowl, Black Barts Steakhouse, Brix Restaurant & Wine Bar, CoCo's Restaurant & Bakery, Cottage Place, Criollo Latin Kitchen, Cuvee 928, Dorado’s Coastal Mexican Grill, Josephine's, Karma Sushi Bar Grill, Kickstand Kafe, Little America, Madrid Tapas, Mix Flagstaff, Sakura Restaurant, Taverna Greek Grill, The Gathering at Cliff Castle, The Lumberyard Brewery, Tinderbox and Xanterra South Rim L.L.C.
"We are coming off back-to-back Big Sky Conference Presidents’ Cups, an indication that our students are achieving at a high level in the classroom and in competition. We attribute much of this success to the generous financial support from our donors and Flagstaff community,” said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Lisa Campos. “Wine and Dine in the Pines helped to raise over $70,000 in 2013 for student scholarship and we look to exceed that mark in 2014. In addition to raising money for a great cause, this annual event allows attendees the chance to experience local and regional wines and delicious foods from Northern Arizona restaurants."
In addition to great food, beverages and fun there will be a live and silent auction featuring an away football game trip for two, Arizona Snowbowl lift tickets & Snowboard, NAU athletic gear, Sonoma wine tasting trip, wine baskets and much more.
