NAU Student-Athletes Participate in Red Ribbon Week

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – One hundred nineteen of Northern Arizona University's student-athletes participated in Red Ribbon Week which took place October 21st through the 25th. The student-athletes visited a number of schools in the local area to talk with students about Red Ribbon Week.

NAU student-athletes talked with students about peer pressure, specifically strategies on ways to say no to peer pressure. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions and share stories with the athletes as well. Students who wear their Red Ribbon to the NAU home football game against Northern Colorado on November 16th will receive free admission. Students will also have the opportunity to go on-field during halftime and pledge to be drug free.
