FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona University Athletics Department will be rolling through the state of Arizona during its annual NAU Coaches Caravan tour and hopes that Lumberjack Nation will come out in full force when it hits your city. The caravan will make its first stop in San Diego on Monday, June 29 before making several stops in the Grand Canyon State.
The Lumberjacks are coming off yet another incredible year in which NAU claimed seven conference championships. Men’s and women’s cross country, women’s soccer, women’s swimming & diving, women’s golf and men’s indoor and outdoor track & field all reigned supreme over their conference opponents in 2014-15 to hoist the championship hardware for the ‘Jacks. NAU also boasted four teams who reached the Big Sky semifinals in their respective sports and the men’s basketball team enjoyed a run to the national CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament final.
Now, fans and alumni of Northern Arizona University will have the opportunity to hear from NAU’s head coaches first hand during the summer Coaches Caravan tour as they recap the past year, preview the future and continue the Blue & Gold momentum.
NAU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Lisa Campos, Head Football Coach Jerome Souers, Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jack Murphy and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Sue Darling will be on site at all of the events listed in the schedule below. Also, there will be special guest appearances throughout the caravan tour from additional NAU coaches and administration.
Each stop in the tour is free for all fans to attend. Below are the Caravan dates and locations for the months of June and July. A Flagstaff date will be set for August in the near future. For more information, contact Director of Marketing Will Price at 928-523-3389 or William.Price@nau.edu.
