NAU-TV will televise and distribute 15 Fall events in high definition to air on local cable, FOX Sports Arizona and Fox College Sports, and online on www.NAU-TV.com. A record nine games will air live on FOX Sports Arizona or FOX Sports Arizona Plus, including three football games airing live on basic cable throughout the state of Arizona for the first time. NAU-TV coverage begins with NAU soccer hosting Arizona at noon Sunday.

“We’re really appreciative of the relationship we have with NAU-TV and FOX Sports Arizona and value that partnership,” said NAU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Lisa Campos. “It’s very exciting to have this national exposure for our programs. It’s great for recruiting and for NAU as a University and gives us national exposure that cannot be matched in the Big Sky. Kicking it off with soccer against Arizona on Sunday is great to showcase our facility and the quality program that Coach Luciano has built here.”

Five football games, six volleyball matches, three soccer games and a special presentation of NAU diving make up the Fall television schedule. Fox College Sports, a collection of three channels (Pacific, Central, Atlantic) available nationally on digital cable and on DirecTV channels 617 and 623, will air all but two of the 15 events live. FOX Sports Arizona is available on basic cable and satellite (DirecTV 686, Dish 365/415) throughout Arizona as well as parts of New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada. Fox Sports Arizona Plus is a free additional channel for all subscribers who receive FOX Sports Arizona.

In addition to the nine live broadcasts on FOX Sports Arizona and Plus, the network will also air four events on tape delay. All of the broadcasts, with the exception of diving, will air live on NAU-TV, which is available in Flagstaff on Suddenlink Cable channel 4 and 104 in HD and online on www.NAU-TV.com. All volleyball and football home events are also streamed live on www.bigskytv.org.

The Voice of the Lumberjacks Mitch Strohman returns as primary play-by-play broadcaster for all NAU athletic events and will be joined once again for all football broadcasts by former Lumberjack quarterback Kevin Stephens. Former UConn All-American football player Reggie Eccleston joins both the football and men's basketball broadcast teams as a sideline/courtside reporter.  Former NAU men's and women's basketball Head Coach Dave Brown returns as color analyst for men's basketball.  Former NAU soccer standout Kristi Andreassen joins NAU-TV as a soccer analyst while former NAU women's basketball assistant coach Sharon Falor will again provide color commentary for both women's basketball and volleyball.   Former NAU swimmer Heather Hodgeson will work the sidelines for soccer and volleyball.

For the first time, NAU-TV will air the diving competition from NAU’s Blue-Gold meet on a tape-delayed broadcast. There are also 18 men’s and women’s basketball games scheduled to be televised starting in December.
