NAU Football Walk On
Policy
To be considered as a candidate for the NAU Football program you
must complete all of the following steps:
1. Current Student or Admitted Student at Northern Arizona
University
2. Played Varsity High School Football Team thru Senior Year
and/or Competed for a Varsity College / Junior College Team
3. Health Insurance that covers your participation in football
a. There is an athletic department fee for your physical if
selected for team
4. Registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center
a. Submitted Final High School Transcript to NCAA Eligibility
Center
b. Submitted Test Scores to NCAA Eligibility Center
c. Must be an NCAA Division I Qualifier to be considered
5. Mail or deliver the following to the NAU football offices:
a. Unofficial High School Academic Transcript and Test Scores
i. NAU transcript for current students
b. Letter of Recommendation from Previous Coach(s)
c. Video of your most recent playing experience
d. Completed NAU Football
Online Questionnaire from the Athletics Website
e. List of All Academic and Athletic Honors and Awards earned in
High School and/or Junior College
f. Mail to:

6. Academic Schedule built to accommodate ALL of the
following:
a. 6:00 am for Possible Strength and Conditioning Workouts
b. 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm for Possible Football Related activities
i. Except for Monday’s in the Fall Semester
c. Open All Day Saturday / Sunday for Possible Football Related
activities
i. Except for Sunday’s in the Spring Semester
7. Walk On Meetings are MANDATORY for those interested and are
conducted at 3:00 pm on the First Day of Class Each Semester
in the football offices.
a. Current Information will be
collected at this meeting
b. Additions to the Team are NOT Guaranteed and are at the
discretion of the coaching staff
c. A Signed Copy of the Football
Walk On Policy Form must be on file in the Football Office for
consideration
Football will be holding the semester Walk On Meeting for the Spring 2012 Semester at the Franke College of Business (Building #81 on the campus map) on January 17th, 2012, at 5:00 PM, inside Gardner Auditorium (Room 101). All students who are interested in possibly walking on the NAU Football Team for the 2012 Spring & Fall Semesters are encouraged to attend.
