Richard Selby
(Cross Country/Track, 1969-73)
Richard Selby earned eight varsity letters while a student-athlete attending Northern Arizona University. He was a member of the 1969 Cross Country team that finished 9th in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics championship meet, a member of the 1972 Cross Country team that placed 9th in the NCAA finals and a runner on the 1971 NAU track team that won the school's first Big Sky Conference Championship. Selby holds NAU recors in the Following: 1500 meters, 3:42.24 (Outdoor 1973); 5000 meters, 13:45.25 (Outdoor 1972); 1500 meters, 3:48.24 (Indoor 1972). Selby was a member of the NAU relay teams that dominated the Mt. San Antonio and San Diego relay meets.
