Goran Lingmerth received three different All-America honors his senior year; first team Kodak, first team NFL Draft Report and second team Associated Press. He was one of six players to receive all-Big Sky Conference first team selection in 1986 and was awarded the BSC Player of the Week award once. He Holds the NCAA Division I-AA record for most field goals attempted and made in a game when he was a perfect eight for eight vs. Idaho in 1986, also a conference and NAU record. He played only two years at NAU and is ranked in the top ten in both career and season records. In the career record books, Lingmerth is third in field goals (36), fourth in kick scoring (150), sixth in scoring (150) and seventh in extra points (42). On the season top ten lists, Lingmerth is first in both kick scoring (93 points in 1986) and field goals (23 in 1986), seventh in field goals (13 in 1985), tenth in scoring (93 points in 1986) and extra points (24 in 1986). His 24 points against the Idaho Vandals is still most points scored kicking in NAU history. Additionally, his 15 points against Southwest Texas State in 1986 ranks forth best. After Finishing his career with the Lumberjacks Lingmerth was in camp with the Cleveland Browns.
