Captured two Big Sky Wrestling Championships at 118 pounds (1974,
1975)…Voted “Outstanding Wrestler” for the Big
Sky Conference…Big Sky NAU Scholar Athlete Award in
1975…Qualified for the NCAA Division I Tournament twice
(1974, 1975)….Won six national wrestling
championships…Won two Pan American Championship medals,
including a silver in 1977 (freestyle) and a gold in 1979
(sambo)…Placed in the World Wrestling Championships three
times…Member of two U.S. Olympic teams (1980,
1984)…Spent 32 years as an assistant for head wrestling
coach…Numerous volunteer and community service activities.
