Golob was a 2006 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America second-team selection, 2006 NSCA Strength and Conditioning All-American, 2006 NAU Male Athlete of the Year, NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient, 2006 All-Big Sky first-team selection, and a two-time All-Big Sky honorable mention selection (2003, 2004). He finished his career as all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,550 points, ranked second on NAU and Big Sky career three-pointer list with 289, and was the fifth player in Big Sky history to make 200 or more three-pointers in his career. He became the 20th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark and 27th in conference history to eclipse the 1,500-point mark. He finished his career first in program history in scoring (1,550), sixth in field goals made (525), fourth in field goal attempts (1,199), second in three-pointers (289), first in three-point attempts (710), ninth in three-point field goal percentage (.407), third in free throw percentage (.851), seventh in turnovers (217), tied for second in games played (116) and first in minutes played (3,549).
