 Larry Friedrichs

(Football, 1974-77)

Larry Friedrichs was considered the outstanding offensive lineman during his career at Northern Arizona University.  He holds the record for consecutive games played as a starter, starting in all 42 collegiate games during his four-year career at NAU.  In 1977, he was selected to the Kodack All-American, 1^st team; the Associated Press All-American, 2^nd team; Big Sky conference Top Scholar Athlete; and twice was selected to the Big Sky Conference, 1^st team.  Friedrichs was Co-Captain of the 1977 football team that was ranked 5^th in the nation (Division II).  The 1977 team had a record of 9-3, and played in the 1^st round of the Division II football play-offs in the Walkup Skydome.
